Resumo:

Abstract: Die Hauptthese dieses Aufsatzes besagt, dass eine liberale Argumentation für die Schulausbildung en multikulturellen Forderungen nach Ausnahmen von allgemeinen Lehrplansanforderungen wie z.B. derjenigen entgegensteht, die den Amish in Yoder garantiert wurde.Diese These wird durch eine Konzeption von liberaler Ausbildung untermauert, die paternalistische Elemente beinhaltet und die dementsprechend über die üblichen
Argumentationen für die liberale Ausbildung hinausgeht, die Ausbildung lediglich als Funktional für die Bürgerrolle betrachtet.  According to this paper a liberal defence of school education isn’t compatible with the multicultural demands for excluding children from some general curricular exigencies through exceptions like for example the one the Amish obtained in Yoder. This thesis is supported by a conception of liberal education which includes paternalistic considerations and correspondingly goes behind the usual defences of liberal education as functional to citizenship.

 According to this paper a liberal defence of school education isn’t compatible with the multicultural demands for excluding children from some general curricular exigencies through exceptions like for example the one the Amish obtained in Yoder. This thesis is supported by a conception of liberal education which includes paternalistic considerations and correspondingly goes behind the usual defences of liberal education as functional to citizenship.
