The false choice between renaturalization and hypertechnification
Vol 14, No 1 (2013) • Filosofia Unisinos - Unisinos Journal of Philosophy
Autor: Celso Reni Braida
Resumo:
This text analyzes the contrast between two contemporary trends in human self-understanding based on the appreciation of technique and nature. The aim is to show that these alternatives must be seen as illusions of our reason motivated by the regime of fascination that makes our way of life today. This scheme builds as desirable and valuable what sustains it, nature and technology. The illusion is in the double assumption, first, of the separability between technology and nature in the constitution of human life, and second, of the eliminability of the precariousness human existence.
