Resumo:

Este artigo apresenta aspectos da epistemologia das matemáticas em 
Leibniz, Kant e Frege a partir da consideração do caráter sintético e analítico que 
assumem em cada um dos sistemas. Será mostrado que as teorias epistemológicas 
dos autores e o papel que as faculdades sensíveis e intelectuais assumem em suas 
filosofias  determinam  o  estatuto  das  matemáticas  que  defendem.  De  modo  mais 
geral, o trabalho defende que a filosofia de Frege está inserida no debate filosófico 
alemão desde a modernidade, diferentemente do que defendem muitos filósofos 
analíticos do século XX.

Abstract:

This article presents aspects of the epistemology of mathematics in 
Leibniz, Kant and Frege from the consideration of the synthetic and analytical character they assume in each of the systems. It will be shown that the authors’ 
epistemological theories and the role that sensitive and intellectual faculties play 
in their philosophies determine the status of the mathematics they defend. More 
generally, the work argues that Frege’s philosophy is inserted in the German 
philosophical  debate  since  modernity,  differently  from  what  many  20th  century 
analytical philosophers defend.
