Resumo:

Com esta investigação genealógica do poder político no Ocidente, Giorgio Agamben formula em seu projeto Homo sacer, um programa de pesquisas centrado na questão da genealogia da governamentalidade. Assim, aportamos num estágio decisivo de suas escavações genealógicas, sobre as razões pelas quais o poder foi assumindo na vida ocidental o formato de uma οικονομ?α, ou seja, o exame do poder que foi operado pela via do agir administrativo das coisas e das vidas. Neste texto, temos a intencionalidade de traçarmos uma sinopse desta genealogia teológica da economia e do governo, e, retrocedermos com o filósofo italiano aos porões constitutivos da vida política, religiosa e cultural Ocidental. Logo, tendo em mente o fato de o poder ser substancialmente pautado pelo governo, temos uma implicação ético-política, que nos leva ao seguinte questionamento: por que o poder necessita da glória? Estamos diante de uma série de paradigmas que forjam o corpo e as categoriais centrais da política democrática na modernidade.

Abstract:

Giorgio Agamben with his research undertaken around the theolog-ical genealogy of the economy and the government the door in a decisive stage of his genealogical excavations, on the reasons why the power was assuming in western life the format of a οικονομ?α, that is, the examination of the power that has been operated by the administrative act of things and lives. In this text, we have the intentionality of tracing a synopsis of this theological geneal-ogy of the economy and the government, and, back with the Italian philoso-pher to the constitutive basements of western political, religious and cultural life. Therefore, bearing in mind the fact that the power is substantially guided by the government, we have an ethical-political implication, which leads us to the following question: Why does power need glory? We are facing a series of paradigms that forge the body and the central categories of democratic politics in modernity. With this genealogy Agamben shows us the religious inflows, which contributed to the lives of groups and individuals in the constitution of their life form. This aimed to construct both his being and his identity praxis in the spectacle societies of contemporary democracies.
