Resumo:

Considerando a relevância que a temática do amor teve e continua tendo no campo da filosofia, bem como a importância que os pensadores Orígenes e Agostinho têm na mesma área, especificamente no que toca à filosofia antiga e Patrística, objetiva-se, neste trabalho, apresentar os sistemas de ambos os Padres, suas contribuições e divergências a respeito do citado tema. Para tanto, procedeu-se a um levantamento bibliográfico das principais obras em que ambos os autores dissertam a respeito da temática proposta para esta pesquisa, bem como pesquisadores e comentadores do pensamento do alexandrino e do hiponense. A pesquisa ainda está amparada em historiadores da filosofia. Desse modo, observa-se que o tema do amor ocupa lugar significativo nos textos de Agostinho e Orígenes, sendo chave de leitura e compreensão para seus sistemas filosóficos. Ainda observou-se que, não obstante ambos os pensadores apontarem para as mesmas direções em diversos quesitos, Agostinho parece ser mais preciso, metodológico e possuir uma terminologia mais refinada no tocante ao assunto. O que permite concluir que ambos os pensadores trazem importantes contribuições filosóficas à temática do amor, sendo o sistema agostiniano mais desenvolvido que o origeniano.

Abstract:

Considering the relevance that the theme of love had and continues to have in the field of philosophy, as well as the importance that thinkers Origen and Augustine have in the same area, specifically with regard to ancient and Patristic philosophy, the objective of this work is to present the systems of both Fathers, their contributions and divergences on the aforementioned theme. Therefore, a bibliographic survey of the main works in which both authors discuss the proposed theme for this research was carried out, as well as researchers and commentators on the thought of Alexandrian and Hyponens. The research is still supported by historians of philosophy. Thus, it is observed that the theme of love occupies a significant place in the texts of Augustine and Origen, being a key to reading and understanding their philosophical systems. Still, it was observed that, despite both thinkers pointing to the same directions in several aspects, Augustine seems to be more precise, methodological and has a more refined terminology regarding the subject. Which allows us to conclude that both thinkers bring important philosophical contributions to the theme of love, with the Augustinian system being more developed than the Origenean one.
