Resumo:

Este trabalho é de natureza bibliográfica e de revisão de literatura e tem por objetivo fazer umareflexão sobre as reinvindicações sociais que estão na pauta de grupos que por vezes foramnegligenciados por discursos hegemônicos da sociedade. As reinvindicações destes grupos buscam darvisibilidade a lutas por reconhecimento de direitos básicos das mulheres, das pessoas negras, da classetrabalhadora, e de outras vozes que são silenciadas pelo totalitarismo dos discursos hegemônicos.Buscaremos utilizar estudos de Stuart Hall, Homi Bhabha e Judith Butler, visando questionar apretensa homogeneidade e estabilidade das categorias de cultura, etnia e gênero. A partir de umacompreensão de que tais categorias não são estanques, buscaremos questionar algumas vozespreconceituosas que se fundamentam na compreensão homogênea dessas categorias. Além disso,pretendemos apresentar o pensamento de Ângela Davis como uma forma de unificar asreinvindicações de classe, etnia e gênero, como meio de dar mais consistência a luta daqueles quemuitas vezes são excluídos do pleno exercício da cidadania.

Abstract:

This work is of bibliographic nature and literature review and aims to reflect on the social claims thatare on the agenda of groups that were sometimes neglected by hegemonic discourses of society. Theclaims of these groups seek to give visibility to the struggles for the recognition of basic rights ofwomen, black people, the working class, and other voices that are silenced by the totalitarianism ofhegemonic discourses. We will seek to use studies by Stuart Hall, Homi Bhabha and Judith Butler, inorder to question the alleged homogeneity and stability of the categories of culture, ethnicity andgender. Based on an understanding that these categories are not watertight, we will seek to questionsome prejudiced voices that are based on the homogeneous understanding of these categories. Inaddition, we will seek to present Angela Davis' thinking as a way to unify the claims of class, ethnicityand gender, as a way of giving more consistency to the struggle of those who are often excluded fromthe full exercise of citizenship.
