Abstract:

This writing is developed in the context of a more general reflection on the relationship between philosophy and the knowledge of God from the experience that we call mystic. Such a relationship calls for much more than a philosophical theme around an experience of anthropological or existential character. In fact, the philosophical task itself is summoned here, that is, the very question of what philosophy is, and even the origin of thought itself. But, at the same time, the origin and viability of a specific and traditionally assumed use of rationality, that of theology, is also called for. The crosses of both will show how the perennial of the dialectic between immanence and transcendence is related to the very history of their relationship.

A Revista Portuguesa de Filosofia (RPF) foi fundada em 1945 por Domingos Maurício, SJ; Cassiano Abranches, SJ; Severiano Tavares, SJ e Diamantino Martins, SJ. É uma publicação trimestral da Axioma - Publicações da Faculdade de Filosofia.
