Resumo:

Partindo da Encíclica Divino Afflante do Papa Pio XII (1943), o presente artigo retoma o complexo e instigante tema da inspiração divina na sua relação para com a origem das Escrituras e sua interpretação. A busca por uma compreensão coerente da inspiração mereceu, no século XX, a atenção de numerosos teólogos. Após uma breve retomada histórica da questão na tradição da Igreja será apresentada a teoria da inspiração do teólogo Karl Rahner. Duas são as nossas motivações de fundo. A primeira é a de ressaltar a sua inegável contribuição ao tema, sua originalidade, sua atualidade, e tentar, ao mesmo tempo, responder algumas das duras críticas que sua teoria recebeu. A segunda volta-se para a importância teológica que a abordagem eclesiológica de Rahner representa para o aprofundamento pneumatológico-salvífico da relação do Espírito Santo (de Deus) para com a Igreja: “Creio no Espírito Santo, na Santa Igreja Católica”. 

Abstract:

Starting from Pope Pius XII's Encyclical Divino Afflante (1943), this article takes up the complex and thought-provoking theme of divine inspiration in its relationship to the origin of Scripture and its interpretation. In the 20th century, the search for a coherent understanding of inspiration deserved the attention of numerous theologians. After a brief historical review of the question in the Church's tradition, the theory of inspiration of the theologian Karl Rahner will be presented. Two are our underlying motivations. The first is to emphasize his undeniable contribution to the subject, his originality, his topicality, and at the same time try to answer some of the harsh criticisms that his theory received. The second turns to the theological importance that Rahner's ecclesiological approach represents for the pneumatological-salvific deepening of the relationship of the Holy Spirit (of God) to the Church: “I believe in the Holy Spirit, in the Holy Catholic Church”.
